Dubrovnik – Split through Mostar
This is the long way to Split, and the more interesting one if you have a free day. The road leaves the coast, follows the Neretva into Bosnia and Herzegovina and comes back to the sea in the evening.
We start early. Your bags stay locked in the car all day.

The stops
Počitelj
An old stone village built into the hillside above the Neretva. The climb to the tower at the top takes about twenty minutes and the view is worth it.
Mostar
Two or three hours for the Old Bridge, the bazaar street and lunch.
Split
From Mostar back into Croatia and down to the coast, to your address in Split.
Good to know
There are two border crossings, so everyone needs a passport or ID card. On busy summer days the queues add time, and we build that into the start time.
